Growing up on the volcanic island of Lanzarote, I experienced firsthand the relentless trade winds that shape its unique landscape. While visitors often see them as an inconvenience, for those of us who call the island home, these winds are essential—they bring relief from the heat and are an intrinsic part of Lanzarote’s identity.
This lettering piece is my tribute to the ever-present and much-needed wind. Through fluid, dynamic strokes, I aimed to capture the movement
and energy of the breeze as it sweeps across the island, turning what
some see as an annoyance into a defining and beautiful element of Lanzarote’s character.
