The Canary Islands, my homeland, are a paradise in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, renowned for their iconic bananas and breathtaking natural beauty. When the Spanish government approved oil drilling just five miles off the coast, it threatened the very ecosystem that makes the islands so unique.

In response to this, I created an illustration as a statement of protest.
